Biographical Note
Kenneth Janda (1961 Indiana University PhD) taught Political Science at Northwestern University from 1961 to 2001, retiring as the Payson S. Wild Professor Emeritus of Political Science.
He won national awards for computer applications in political science—
1987 EDUCOM Software Award for CROSSTABS, a program for student research on politics
1992 APSA Course Instruction Award for IDEAlog, a program for analyzing political values
2005 APSA Instructional Software Award for IDEAlog.org, a website for analyzing political values
—and other awards from the American Political Science Association—
2000 Lifetime Achievement Award from its Section on Political Organizations and Parties
2009 Frank J. Goodnow Award for Distinguished Service to the Profession
